Is Advent a front for selling
home security systems?
No, Advent only has personal protection products such as
stun guns and home security products such as lock enhancers.
Does Advent provide personal bodyguard services? No.
That takes too much of my time.
Is Advent some type of MLM or “investment scheme?” Absolutely not. If you want to invest in
something, invest in your security, not my company.
If I attend an Advent presentation, will I be asked to sign up for
something or sign anything?
Absolutely not.
Is there a charge for hosting an Advent Security
presentation at my home or business? No.
Why is Advent Security geared toward women? In my time working in law enforcement, I noticed that most of the personal security violations, (97%), were against women. I also learned that most of those crimes were easily preventable, but weren't because the victims were unaware the crime even existed or that it was committed against them without their knowledge. I have a wife and daughters I want to keep them safe from these crimes and violations. That's what got me started.
What if no products are bought at a presentation, don’t
you lose money? Yes, but not much. If anything, I lose 30 or 45 minutes of
my time. At least I know that the viewers are better informed of the threats
and how to protect themselves.
Why do you need at least six women present at your
presentations? Two reasons, One: I don’t want anyone feeling uncomfortable
with only one or two women in the house with a stranger, especially if the
guests don’t fully know what the presentation is about. Two: With 6 or more
people in the audience, I have a better statistical chance of making another
appointment to keep my business going.
Why aren’t Advent presentations done in public locations?
They can be, but I can’t afford to keep renting locations, not having enough
people show up or guests not buying enough products to make it worth it.
Why can’t men be present at the presentation? Men are
allowed but preferably not. During the presentations, some of the subjects
discussed are sensitive in nature for women. Many women feel uncomfortable
openly discussing these topics around men they don’t know. Also, some men can be a little
resistant to the presentation subjects and attempt to downplay the severity of
the intents presented. A presentation focusing on the men is in the works.
Why can’t you just do the presentation on an online
video? It would not be the same. I could show you the Grand Canyon or the
Mona Lisa to you on a video but it just would not have the same impact if you
see them person. The presentation is also updated regularly and changes
periodically.
How long is the presentation? The presentation is set
for 30 minutes. I will then answer any questions which may take the entire
presentation longer. The total time depends on the number of questions asked
and perhaps any requested demonstrations. Guests are free to leave at any time.
It seems like the
presentation scares people into buying products.It may seem that way if you take the information as something that IS going to happen to you. My intent is not to scare you or make you paranoid. My intent is to show you the threats and vulnerabilities you may be unaware of and more importantly, how to PREVENT them. If you instead take the presented information as an educated preventive measure, you should have more of a sense of relief rather than fear. Example, if your doctor told you that you are susceptible to a terminal disease, you’d get scared, but if the doctor then prescribed you a $40.00 pill that would most likely prevent any future contraction of the disease, would you remain scared, or feel relieved? You would also most likely be more conscious of that disease and warn others about it and how to prevent it wouldn’t you? Same concept here. Don’t be scared, be safe.
What are the price ranges of your products? All
products are under $80.00. Only two products are over $100.00 but cannot they
cannot be purchased at the presentations, they must be ordered.
Can the products be ordered at the presentations?
Yes. I do carry a small inventory to each presentation, but depending on the
number of items purchased at the presentation, I can take orders on the spot.
How long do the products take to arrive? The products
usually arrive within one week and sent directly to your home.
I already own one of your product, do instruct on it’s
use? Yes, even if you didn’t buy it
from me. I am a firm believer that if
you use any tool, you should know how to use it properly. The instruction may
have to be at a later time and or location.
Does Advent also give classes on firearms too? Advent
does not but has an associate who is a licensed concealed handgun license and
firearms instructor. Discounts are available for groups referred by Advent
Personal Security.
Does Advent have any other services? Not right now.
In the future, I hope to provide a home security evaluation/mitigation service,
a men’s presentation, and more security products. Advent can arrange other
types of classes like martial arts self defense and fire arms instructions.
You probably have a lot more advice, do you give private
instructions? Yes, I do have a lot of advice that is not covered in the
presentations. The best place to get that advice is here on this blog. I update
regularly and will add any new threats dangers, or vulnerabilities I find out
about. As for private instruction, it depends on what it’s for. We will need to
talk about it one on one.

For the time being, I can only do presentations in Mission, McAllen, Edinburg,
Pharr, San Juan areas.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for a presentation at
my home or office? Not much. I do require the use of your TV and DVD
player. Arrange the room for comfort and refrain from having pets loose in the
room. Children should also be kept from interrupting the presentation, as it
will make the presentation run longer than scheduled. I prefer that food not be
served during the presentation, though, non alcoholic drinks are fine. Please
understand that this is a serious subject.
